| Postcards for every
occasion
Postcards are inevitably poised between a past that never was and a future that is already. In this case, old fashioned Victorian cutouts -so prevalent when the poscard first appeared "shortly before 1900"- populate cyber backgrounds, creating tensions and connections that can be humourous, ironic or poetic but always playful. This group of poscard-sized collages imaginatively suggest a variety of circumstances to cover most everyday social needs. The wide ranging themes span from the all time classics Ho,Ho,Ho and Be mine, to the more unusual, but still useful, Couldnt keep it under my hat and Heard it through the grapevine. |
